Dear Donna Jones:
I've always believed that change never begins from the top down.
It happens from the bottom up. Our democracy depends on Americans like you are getting involved and exercising your right to vote, as you did two years ago.
Recently, you promised to continue your commitment to change by voting on Tuesday, November 2nd. And the stakes could not be higher.
I hope you cast your ballot for your local Democratic candidates.
Two years ago, we started on a journey together to bring change to this country. We've begun to rebuild our economy, standing with middle class families by cutting taxes and standing up to Wall Street. We've ended the worst practices for the insurance industry so no American can be denied health coverage and everyone can afford it. We've implemented historic education reforms, and made college more affordable for working families. And, we've kept our promise to bring our combat troops home and end the war in
We have so much more to do. Yet, instead of helping to repair the damage to our economy, most Republicans have tried to block progress at every turn.
That's why your commitment to vote on Tuesday, November 2nd, means so much to me. One person, One voice. One vote.
You made the difference in 2008. You put away any cynicism and raised your voice and cast a vote for change.
I ask you to do it again.
Sincerely,
President Barack Obama
